Rick Lovely announces retirement from Grays Harbor PUD
After serving almost 13 years as General Manager of Grays Harbor PUD, General Manager Rick Lovely has announced his retirement from the District. Lovely will continue to serve until the end of the year, providing time to find a replacement. Lovely is stepping down as General Manager after more than 28 years at Grays Harbor PUD. “It will be a big adjustment to step away from work that I have truly enjoyed over the years but I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and enjoying other pursuits,” said Lovely.
Rick Lovely began his career at Grays Harbor PUD in 1984 as a Substation Engineer. He served in other engineering roles including Senior Substation Engineer and Engineering Group Leader before becoming Interim General Manager in September of 1999 and General Manager in December of 1999.
Grays Harbor PUD Commission President Tom Casey said “The Board of Commissioners expresses our thanks to Rick for his dedicated service and we wish him the best in his retirement.”
The Board of Commissioners will begin working to establish a process to find a successor. “This is an important decision that will have a significant impact on the future of the PUD,” said Casey. “The Board is committed to taking the time and energy necessary to find the right person that can provide the leadership, expertise and enthusiasm to take us into the future.”
