Grayland Fire Department reminds residents to use caution on 4th of July

June 27, 2012

With one week until the Fourth of July, the Grayland Fire Department is advising caution along all beaches over the holiday.

They remind residents enjoying fireworks to keep all beach campfires at least 100 feet from the dunes and extinguish all fires when you leave the beach.

They recommend if discharging fireworks along the beaches, remember to move closer to the water and point towards the ocean.

Officials also remind residents to not drink alcohol before using fireworks. Numerous injuries occur each year linking alcohol consumption and discharging fireworks.
