Fire training on Monday in Pioneer Park

The Aberdeen Fire Department will be conducting a live burn fire training exercise on Monday a Pioneer Park in South Aberdeen. The burn will begin near Stevens School at 9am in the old baseball locker room near the Aberdeen Parks maintenance shop.
Residents in the area should not be alarmed to see smoke coming from the park during this exercise. Aberdeen Fire does not plan to reroute or slow traffic during this training exercise beyond part of Dewey Street entering the Stevens School parking lot.
The exercise is scheduled to last 3-4 hours.
