Street crews continue work on Myrtle Street today

Work continues on Myrtle Street today as Scott Olson with the Aberdeen Street Department says that Myrtle Street from Sumner to Cherry will be closed today to all traffic. Crews will be grinding and repaving the street. This closure marks the last stretch of work to prepare for an overlay on Myrtle Street later this summer.

This closure will also block Cherry Street to all through traffic as crews work on the intersection of Cherry and Myrtle.

The street closure is expected to last until the early afternoon. The complete closure allows crews to finish work on the block in the shortest time possible.
