Vietnam era explosives found at Aberdeen home
July 17, 2012
Officers were called to the 2700 Block of the Wishkah Road Monday night after explosives were discovered inside a garage. These explosives were described as a US Military 20mm HEI (High Explosive Incendiary) round and 4 artillery simulators. They were believed to be of the Vietnam era.
The location was secured and technicians from the Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad safely removed the devices for disposal.
An Aberdeen Fire Department ambulance crew was on scene at the time as a precaution.
