The Daily World newspaper will stop printing in Aberdeen

July 18, 2012

The Daily World and their affiliated weekly newspapers will no longer be printing their issues in Aberdeen. KXRO has learned that the newspaper will have their printing operations moved to the Centralia Chronicle facility. This change will be effective August 1st.

7 local union jobs will be lost in this transition.

Recently The Daily World stopped printing on Monday to save cost and have put more of a focus onto their website and social networking.

Newspapers across the country have seen drastic changes over the last few years. In March of 2009, The Seattle PI stopped printing to focus solely on their website.
