Authorities searching for man who escaped custody
The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department is searching for 31 year old Jessie James Eichelberger of Oakville after he fled the Grays Harbor County court. According to Undersheriff Rick Scott, Eichelberger was being remanded to custody when he fled the court.
Eichelberger was being put into custody on an outstanding warrant.
He is described as 6 foot, 200 pounds, with a muscular build and shaved head.

In 2006, a Jessie Eichelberger was found guilty by a jury in Grays Harbor County Superior Court of Possession of a Firearm and prior to sentencing fled the court. In court documents, the man addressed the court stating he did everything required of him. As he left the courtroom in 2006, the judge said “That’s an escape. That’s an escape. That’s an escape.” Officers arrested the man on a warrant at his home and Mr. Eichelberger was charged with Escape in the First Degree and Resisting Arrest.
According to the Grays Harbor County Corrections Division, Jessie James Eichelberger has been held for 60+ charges since 1999.
