Woman avoids abduction in Shelton by biting her attacker
July 31, 2012
Police in Shelton say they’ve made an arrest in a reported attack on a woman who was walking along Olympic Highway. The woman told police a man tried to abduct her but she was able to get away after biting his hand during a brief struggle.
Police say the 33-year-old woman flagged down a Mason County sheriff’s deputy early Saturday to report the attack.
The deputy alerted local police, who stopped a dark-colored pickup truck leaving the area with its headlights out. Police say the driver had a fresh, bleeding injury to his hand.
Police say a 55-year-old man was booked into jail for investigation of second-degree kidnapping and fourth-degree assault.
