August 3, 2012

The United Way of Grays Harbor and Pacific County has announced that they have hired Doreen Cato to be their Executive Director. The nonprofit had been serving without an Executive Director since Lynsi Polanco left in June.

In Ocean Shores, she helped found and volunteers with Grays Harbor Youth Works.

Cato said. “Even though these are challenging times for raising funds, I believe in the goodness of community banding together when needed; and I have personally seen this happen in Grays Harbor.”

Dr. Cato has volunteered for over 30 years throughout Washington State, and nationally on various boards, commissions, committees and task forces.

Dr. Cato has a Bachelors degree in Art Education, a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis on organizational and human systems, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from LIOS Graduate Program and Saybrook University in San Francisco.
