Pacific County traffic stop leads to drug arrests
A Pacific County Sheriff’s Deputy on Thursday night performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Long Beach area. The driver of the vehicle, a 47 year old Long Beach man, had felony warrants for narcotics violations and was placed under arrest. A 28 year old female passenger was also in the car.
The vehicle was impounded and the Pacific County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit on scene was alerted to the car. A search warrant was issued and a substantial amount of methamphetamine and a small amount of heroin was found inside. A digital weigh scale and packaging material were also located.
Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Matlock said the 47 year old was booked into the Pacific County Jail on the outstanding warrants as well as possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of heroin. His passenger was arrested and also booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of heroin.
