Police investigate Hoquiam Subway robbery

Hoquiam Police are investigating a robbery of the Hoquiam Subway. A man took an undisclosed amount of money from the business Friday evening.

The suspect implied that he had a firearm during the robbery, but no weapon was ever shown. While detectives were investigating the robbery, someone in the area lit off fireworks. No gunshots were fired during the robbery or the investigation.

Aberdeen officers, Sheriff’s Deputies, and Washington State Patrol assisted Hoquiam K9 officers in an attempt to track the suspect.

The suspect remains at large. He is described as a white male; 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts.

Investigators are viewing video surveillance from the store.
