Photo of Hoquiam Subway robbery suspect released

Hoquiam Police are investigating the robbery of the Hoquiam Subway over the weekend. A man took an undisclosed amount of money from the business Friday evening.

The suspect implied that he had a gun during the robbery, but no weapon was ever shown. While detectives were investigating the robbery, someone in the area lit off fireworks and it was reported to police as shots fired. No gunshots were fired during the robbery or the investigation.

Aberdeen officers, Sheriff’s Deputies, and Washington State Patrol assisted Hoquiam K9 officers in an attempt to track the suspect.

The suspect remains at large. He is described as a white male; 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts.

Investigators released a photo from video surveillance from the store.
