Pacific County man arrested after threatening to shoot family member

August 23, 2012

The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Butte Creek resident Wednesday night who said a family member was armed with a gun and was threatening to kill him. The victim was hiding while talking to dispatchers on his cell phone. At least one shot was fired by the suspect during the incident.

Deputies responded, with the assistance of South Bend and Raymond Police officers.

42 year old David Phillip Clevenger was arrested without incident. The victim was located shortly after the arrest and transported to Willapa Harbor Hospital for injuries he received when he was assaulted by the suspect.

Clevenger was booked into the Pacific County Jail on Domestic Violence Assault II Charges.
