Final First Thursday of the season is tonight in Hoquiam

September 6, 2012

Tonight is the final First Thursday of the year for downtown Hoquiam as businesses will be open later as well as feature local art and music.

As the city prepares for Loggers’ Playday weekend and the Hoquiam Elks Grand Parade, the theme of tonight’s events will all be logging themed. Shoppers can hunt for a “logging round” hidden in each participating business to be entered to win a logging themed gift basket.

Presented by the Hoquiam Business Association, various businesses will be open until 8pm tonight and will provide a variety of special opportunities, free drinks and snacks, and entertainment. Many businesses will also be hosting a special artists’ exhibit in their store.

Hoquiam started their First Thursday event series in June and plan to continue the series in the Spring.
