Simpson Ave Bridge to close today

The WSDOT says the Simpson Ave. Bridge in Hoquiam will close at 1pm today while crews make repairs as a result of an accident this morning where a truck hit the overhead beam on the bridge.  Traffic will be detoured to Riverside Ave. for the remainder of the day.  Kelly Stowe, spokesperson from the WSDOT says the revision will be in place until about 5pm this evening or until the replacement beam can be installed.  The Hoquiam school district and school buses have been notified.
