Tree planting at Summit Pacific rescheduled
October 26, 2012
Thanks to the recent rain showers, the grounds of Summit Pacific Medical Center are finally ready for volunteers to come and plant over 3,000 tree seedlings, donated by Weyerhaeuser and Elma School District, throughout the property. Local Boy Scout troops and students from Elma High School’s FFA Club are working with Summit Pacific to coordinate the volunteer effort on Saturday November 10th, starting at 9am. Anyone who plans to volunteer needs to bring their own work gloves and shovels.
Summit Pacific Medical Center is set to open in February. The new medical center will replace Mark Reed Hospital.
Anyone with questions can contact Lauren Day, Community Relations, at 360-495-3244.
