Flood Watch in effect for Grays Harbor

December 3, 2012

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Flood Watch for Grays Harbor through Wednesday afternoon.

Heavy rain and the accumulation of rain over the last several days, plus the expected rain overnight will continue to drive the Chehalis River upwards. It will be cresting near flood stage and could exceed flood stage starting today through Wednesday.

The areas at greatest risk of exceeding flood stage are the Chehalis at Porter.

A flood watch means conditions are favorable for flooding but flooding is not imminent or occurring.
