$1.5 million in grants for local port projects

The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board named 18 projects selected to receive $10.9 million in grants for building public infrastructure to support local community revitalization and economic development efforts. This includes $1 million going to the Port of Grays Harbor for Freight Corridor Improvements on Marine Terminal 4, as well as $500 thousand going to the Port of Willapa Harbor for Tokeland Marina Development.

CERB received $12 million in funding through two new temporary grant programs approved by the 2012 Legislature. The Board granted awards to projects that will support growth of local economies and improve community vitality. CERB received a total of $48.3 million in requests from 100 jurisdictions seeking the new grants.
