City of Aberdeen Passes 2013 Budget
December 13, 2012
The Aberdeen City Council passed their budget for 2013 and passed multiple fee raises.
The council passed the budget for next year with only two NO votes, one from Councilwoman Alice Phelps and the other from Councilman Tim Alstrom. Alstrom brought up spending at the last meeting and asked for a reduction he said after the meeting that this was his reason for voting no.
The fee raises came to a total of ten dollars and 66 cents spread across water utilities, sewer services, storm water utilities, collection of solid waste and recyclables, and EMS services.
