3 Arrested Following Elma Burglary

January 7, 2013

On Friday evening, Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Meadowood Drive just outside of Elma for a residential burglary. The residents arrived home to find their home and garage had been burglarized and numerous items had been taken including electronics, groceries, and sporting goods.

On Saturday morning just after 1am, a citizen called to report a suspicious vehicle on Devonshire Road outside of Montesano. A deputy responded and located a pickup matching the description with 3 people inside. The deputy noticed items that appeared to have been taken from the burglary on Meadowood Drive. The three occupants were detained as the burglary victim was able to identify the items as stolen from them.

A 25 year old Westport man, a 31 year old Montesano man, and a 24 year old Westport woman were arrested and transported to the Grays Harbor County Jail. All suspects were booked for Residential Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property. The Westport man was also booked for drug charges.

The pickup was impounded and searched. The recovered stolen property was processed and released to the Meadowood homeowner.
