Wind Advisory In Effect for Grays Harbor

January 8, 2013

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the coast until midnight tonight.

A vigorous frontal system will bring windy conditions to the coast today and this evening. Local sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph and gusts of 45 to 50 mph are likely.

Winds will increase this morning and reach their peak late this morning through this evening.

While winds of this strength should not cause widespread damage, they can bring down small trees and branches with local power outages.

A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or gusts of 45 to 57 mph are likely.
