Summit Pacific Medical Center Ribbon Cutting on Jan. 25

January 14, 2013

Residents are invited to come and celebrate the completion of the new Summit Pacific Medical Center. The ribbon cutting is planned for Friday, January 25th in Elma. The new medical center will replace Mark Reed Hospital when it opens for business in February.

CEO Renee Jensen said “We are so excited to be able to finally invite the community to view and tour their new medical center”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin off at 10:00am featuring Congressman Derek Kilmer as a featured speaker along with several other speakers from the community.

The Grays Harbor County Public Hospital District hosted their groundbreaking and the start of construction in the Fall of 2011 after receiving a 21.1 million dollar USDA Rural Development Loan in the Fall of 2010. The brand new facility is over four times the size of their current building in McCleary and will feature: a ten bed Emergency Department; a ten bed In-Patient Wing; a full service laboratory; and an expanded Diagnostic Imaging Department.
