Company Plans to Bring 400 New Jobs to McCleary

January 16, 2013

The City of McCleary has announced that USA Investment Group, LLC. recently purchased approximately 350 acres of industrial and commercially zoned land within the limits of the City. McCleary Mayor Gary Dent says that the intent is to develop the property and create hundreds of new jobs within Grays Harbor County.

The initial phase of development is to construct a steel pipe manufacturing facility using steel imported via train. With this initial phase, an estimated 400 new jobs would be created by late 2014. Investments to complete this initial phase are estimated to be in excess of $200 million.

The pipe produced at this facility would be used in the oil and gas exploration and production industry within the USA and Canada. The company anticipated a “rapidly increasing demand” for the product. The plant and operations will be designed to be eco friendly with minimal impact to the environment.

The project is in the early planning stages and hopes to be operational in late 2014.
