Grays Harbor Community Hospital Temporarily Closes First Floor

January 17, 2013

The Grays Harbor Community Hospital is nearly finished with their lobby renovation, but during the final adjustments they will close part of their first floor.

In order to complete renovations the South end of the first floor will be completely closed starting today through early Monday, January 21st.

Tom Jensen, CEO says, “This renovation has impacted the patient flow in our very busy lobby area, but the end is in sight”

Guests and patients will not be able to access the first floor from the main elevators, but will be able to access the ground level, second and third floors.

This renovation will also affect some of our patient and business units on the first floor. During this brief interruption areas north of the gift shop and lobby space will be fully operational.

Both the ground floor entrance and the current main entrance will be available from 6AM to 8PM. All patients will be discharged through the temporary main level.

Hospital staff, Medical staff, Board Members, as well as our community, have contributed funds specifically for this project having raised well over $100,000.
