Aberdeen Man Hits Parked Car and Home

January 23, 2013

Aberdeen Police Officers were called to the 1100 block of W. Marion on Monday evening after a truck hit a parked car and then a house.

Responding officers found that a 46 year old Aberdeen man was driving his 1992 Chevrolet S10 when he hit a parked 1971 Buick Electra and then a vacant home.

The driver had a revoked license and officers say that he smelled of intoxicants.

The driver was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital from the scene for injuries to the leg and a possible broken neck from the collision.

Officer George Kelley was able to get a voluntary blood draw from the man to test for intoxication, those results are pending.

The car he struck sustained major damage and was totaled. The S10 also appears to be totaled according to Captain John Green.

The call came in regarding a gas leak at the scene, but police say that call was unfounded.
