Domestic Violence With Knife in Aberdeen

On Friday, Aberdeen Officers were called to a home in the 200 Block of East King for a 50 year old woman who said that she was just assaulted by her husband.

The victim called 911 and said that she was assaulted with a knife and that the husband hit her with his fists and tried to stab her with a screwdriver. Officers learned that the man had had left the scene. The victim also reported that the suspect had broken the phone at the home so that she could not report the assault.

Officers located the husband driving in South Aberdeen. He was stopped on Boone Street and a high risk traffic stop was initiated with assistance from the Grays Harbor Sheriffs Department.

Officer took the suspect into custody without incident. Officers said that his shirt appeared to be stained with fresh blood.

The 51 year old Aberdeen man was arrested for Assault in the 2nd degree Domestic Violence, Malicious Mischief 3rd DV, and Interfering with the report of a DV.

He was booked into the Aberdeen City Jail.
