Deadline to Register for April Elections on Monday
If you want to vote in the April 23 election for either the Ocosta or Satsop school propositions, or the return of EMS to Fire District 12, the deadline to register is Monday, March 25.
For those of you who are not registered to vote anywhere in Washington, you have until April 15 to register in person at your county elections department.
The April special election mostly features school levy and bond measures. Twenty-one counties have an April election.
The Grays Harbor Fire District 12 levy would create a property tax of $.50 per $1,000 assessed valuation each year for six years beginning in 2014 to bring Emergency Medical Services back to the area.
The Ocosta School District proposition is meant to improve elementary school safety and educational environment. This proposition would authorize the renovation of the Ocosta Elementary School by constructing a new building to replace the “Round” elementary building that will include a tsunami refuge.
This Satsop School District proposition would replace an expiring levy and support numerous needs within the district.
