Historical Seaport Looking for Volunteers

April 4, 2013

Following the announcement of the transfer of 24 acres of land from Weyerhaeuser to the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport, efforts are now being made to get the site prepared for the arrival of the Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain in July.

The seaport announced their first volunteer work party at the site is scheduled for 10 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday, April 6.

Activities at the event will include invasive species removal, general clean-up of the maintenance shop, cleaning and painting the new office, and duties as assigned.

If you can help in any of these areas, or want to volunteer for a future work party, call the Seaport at 360-532-8611 or send Project Manager Roxie Underwood an email at runderwood@historicalseaport.org with your request.
