Pontoons from cycle 2 leaving Grays Harbor

May 7, 2013

Just one week after float-out in Aberdeen, the first cycle 2 pontoon is on its way to Puget Sound.

The longitudinal pontoon is one of three 360-foot-long pontoons built in the second cycle. It is currently on its way from Aberdeen to Tacoma where it will remain for outfitting and preparation for assembly on Lake Washington.

You can track this pontoon’s progress by visiting MarineTraffic.com and searching for vessel “Ocean Titan.” The trip can last between three and five days, depending on ocean conditions and other factors.

The remaining cycle 2 pontoons in Grays Harbor will be towed to Tacoma or Lake Washington as construction continues on the new floating bridge.
