SNAP Apples program returns to Grays Harbor

July 9, 2013

The Student Needs Assistance Program, or SNAP, has started their SNAP Apples program once again.

Residents can purchase the apple signs at Bank of the Pacific, Sterling Savings Bank, Timberland Bank, or Clyde & Sylvia’s Frames N Things for $1.00 each, with all money going to purchase school supplies for students in need. Great Northwest Federal Credit Union also has a parking meter at each of their branches so customers can drop off their donation.

According to SNAP, it takes $10.00 to support one child with basic school supplies and a backpack. Their hope is to raise $25,000 to help the children of Grays Harbor and Pacific County.
