Aberdeen firefighters travelling to Ireland for games

Two Aberdeen Firefighters will be travelling to Ireland to compete in the World Police and Fire Games in August.

Aberdeen Firefighters Bill Mayne and Adam Catterlin will be traveling to Belfast, Ireland to compete in the games that take place every two years. The competition is expecting about 10 thousand competitors. This will be Catterlin’s first time competing and Mayne’s ninth time going to the games and Mayne has medaled in competitive pistol shooting events multiple years.

Catterlin will be competing in wrestling and Mayne will be in both individual and team pistol competitions.
