Hoquiam teen found safe in Forks

September 6, 2013

A Hoquiam teen missing since Sunday was found safe on Thursday in some woods near Forks.

18 year old Alexander Cisneros of Hoquiam was found lost and disoriented by searchers more than 5 miles west of his mother’s home Thursday morning.

Peninsula Daily News said that Cisneros was found after family members, friends and police searched the woods near a rural property where police said he was spotted by a resident earlier this week.

Police and family members had been looking for Cisneros, who was last seen at 1 p.m. Sunday at his mother’s home where he was visiting friends during a day trip to Forks.

A family member who was part of the search team saw him sitting on the ground, shaking from the cold and badly scratched but without any major injuries.

He was taken to Forks Community Hospital, where he was treated for scrapes and scratches, and checked for dehydration and hypothermia.

Cisneros recently had moved with his father to Hoquiam, where he was supposed to begin his senior year at Hoquiam High School on Tuesday.
