Fire leaves family without a livable home

November 27, 2013

The Aberdeen Fire Department responded to a fully involved house fire this morning in East Aberdeen.

According to AFD, just before 4:30 this morning, crews arrived to find the occupants of the home had escaped, as over 30% of the home was on fire. Crews were not able to access the home when they arrived, due to the number of vehicles blocking the driveway.

AFD estimates the loss at over $85,000, and the home is unlivable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
