Spokane burglary suspect being held in Aberdeen
Spokane Police have submitted charges to the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges of 1st Degree Assault, 1st Degree Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Burglary for 36-year-old Christopher D. Sheldon. These charges are related to a shooting on October 19, 2012 when Sheldon is suspected of breaking into an apartment, exchanging gunfire with the residents and fleeing on foot.
Victims told detectives a man broke through a sliding glass door, armed with a gun. The teens inside the apartment yelled for their dad, who was in another room. The man in his 50′s grabbed his own firearm and confronted the suspect. Shots were exchanged between the two and the suspect fled.
Sheldon is currently being held in the Aberdeen City Jail, and will be transported back to Spokane in the coming week.
