Officials say that despite the fact the community meetings are being held in wards across the city, any residents are welcome to any meeting.

41 year old Phillips is charged with Communicating with a Minor for Immoral Purposes and Voyeurism. Both charges are Class C Felonies and each count carries a maximum sentence of 5 years.

In documents filed with the Grays Harbor Prosecutor’s Office, Phillips is said to have sent multiple messages to a 12 year old Hoquiam Middle School student, whom he knew was a minor, for immoral purposes. It is also stated that the defendant on multiple accounts viewed another minor for sexual purposes. These are alleged to have occurred since September of 2011.

Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Myers told KXRO that 2 computers seized in a warrant, one of which was property of the school district were sent to the Washington State Patrol High Tech Crime Unit in Olympia to be searched.

Dion’s official appointment is scheduled for tonight’s Aberdeen School Board meeting.

Originally from Shelton, 54 year-old Dion was drafted in the 1980 NFL Draft to the Seattle Seahawks in the 4th round. He played less than 1 season for Seattle. He previously coached with the Pierce County Bengals and Shelton High School.

Dion will also serve as Assistant Coach to the Aberdeen Track team.

The Washington State Patrol tells KXRO that a stolen vehicle left abandoned and heavily vandalized along State Route 12 near the Black River Bridge left little clues behind for detectives. Images obtained from a Wal-Mart surveillance camera in Chehalis clearly shows a white male enter the store and purchase several items. Detectives would like to identify this man as a potential witness.

A long-time resident of Grays Harbor, Cormier has always been passionate about politics, public service and property rights.

Cormier added Cormier has a strong belief that government should be transparent and proposes that public meetings be held after business hours, and that the public comment portion of the meeting should be more of a question and answer session.

Heavy rain is forecast in the mountains through Thursday morning. If the heavy rain occurs, flooding is possible on virtually all rivers flowing out of the Cascades and Olympics. A flood watch is now in effect for all main stem rivers in Western Washington.

Cosmo Specialty Fibers has announced the formation of a Community Grants Foundation, a move they had pledged to get underway early in 2012. In replies to many local requests for funding, the company had advised that when the mill start-up period was completed, they would begin to give back to the community.

A committee of Cosmo team members from all areas of the mill will review applications, which will be restricted to non-profits and charities in Grays Harbor County only.
