CHEHALIS RIVER RECEEDING

December 15, 2010

The Chehalis River will continue to fall back to within it’s banks after spending much of the night at or around flood stage. At the 21-foot level, the river did impact some low lying roads and pastureland. High tides in Aberdeen at 7:54 this morning and 8:43 tonight should signal the last threats of any type of flooding from the past weeks storm, but chances of that flooding being significant are slim. The flood warning on the Chehalis should expire this afternoon.
