TWO FATALITY COLLISIONS FRIDAY KILL TWO PEOPLE, INJURES THREE

December 5, 2011

Two people were killed in two separate collisions Friday night.

One person was killed on SR 105 near Westport when the car they were driving left the road and hit a parked car, a mailbox and then struck a tree.

And a Rochester man was killed in a crash on state Route 12 in Thurston County.

The Washington State Patrol identified the deceased driver as 43-year-old Mark D. Stone.

According to investigators Stone’s van was eastbound when it left the road, struck a guard rail and crossed into the westbound lane.

The van crashed head-on into a car heading in the opposite direction.

That car’s driver, Carmon Gillaspie of Chehalis was airlifted to Harborview in Seattle.

Two passengers in her car – Trevor Duncan-Hostick of Oakville and Vincent Thorp of Walla Walla – were taken to a Centralia hospital.
