The search continues for Shelton double homicide suspect

May 31, 2012

The search continues this morning for 22 year old Charles Sydney Longshore, the suspected shooter in Monday’s double homicide of 19 year old Tyler Drake and 37 year old Anitrea Taber. Police searched a home near the Squaxin Island Tribal Headquarters on Wednesday. He was not in the home, but 2 other individuals were arrested on unrelated warrants.

It is believed that the murders were the result of a drug debt.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Robert Raphael and 24-year-old Kristina Selwyn for rendering criminal assistance to Longshore following the shooting. Raphael also charged with investigation of two counts of first-degree murder.

A vehicle was found abandoned in McCleary on Monday afternoon with evidence that linked it to Longshore. Undersheriff Rick Scott tells KXRO that multiple agencies responded after the vehicle was found.

Longshore is wanted for two counts of homicide as well as for a felony warrant. He is described as a Native American male, 6’2”, 186lbs with reddish brown hair and hazel eyes. He has multiple tattoos including the word “Native” on his forearm as well as lettering on his chest and on the left side of his neck.

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the Shelton Police Department at 360-426-4441.
