7th Street Theatre installs recreation of classic sign
If you’re in downtown Hoquiam, you can see a blast from the past. The 7th Street Theatre on Wednesday installed their brand new candlestick light onto the front of the historic theatre.
The 23 foot neon sign is a re-creation of a sign seen on the building over 80 years ago.
According to the theatre, when the theatre was built in 1928 there was a neon blade sign mounted on the northwest corner. The theatre used photos from the Jones Photo Historical Collection to have it replicated. The sign was later changed, but the original and is what was replicated.
