Aberdeen Police Investigate Stabbing

February 13, 2013

Early Wednesday morning, a man was taken to the hospital after he had been stabbed.

Around 1:30 am, a 47 year old man walked up to an Aberdeen Police Officer patrolling through the AM/PM parking lot and told the officer that he had been stabbed.

The officer called the Aberdeen Fire Department to treat the man on the scene.

The man said that an unknown man may have jumped him somewhere down the road. The victim was hesitant in providing exact information. The victim said there was only one suspect who assaulted him and that he was alone during the assault. He said that following, the suspect did not take anything from him.

AFD treated and then transported the victim to GH Community Hospital. It is our understanding that the victim went into surgery early this morning.

The investigation is continuing. At this time no suspect has been taken into custody for the assault.
