Failor Lake Opens Early for Children

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife have announced that they are opening Failor Lake for fishing, but only for children.

The lake will open on April 20th from 8am-noon for trout and other game fish, but the opening is limited. Only children ages 14 years and younger are allowed to participate.

The opening coincides with a fishing derby sponsored by the Grays Harbor Poggie Club.

Following the opener, Failor Lake will remain closed until the regularly scheduled lowland trout opener on April 27.

Failor Lake Road, Hoquiam: north from Hoquiam 9.9 mi on Hwy 101, left on Failer Lake Rd (public fishing sign) 3.7 mi to access at end of road.
