Shelton Police arrest stabbing suspect
Last week, the Shelton Police Department received a call for a robbery where a victim was stabbed. Officers arrived and found the 53 year old male conscious with a non-life threatening laceration to his right hip. He was transported to Mason General Hospital for treatment and released.
Investigation into the stabbing led Shelton Police Detectives to identify a suspect as 27 year old Sterling J. Arbuckle of Shelton. Over the weekend, detectives were driving to a possible location to contact the suspect when they saw him walking along the roadway where he was taken into custody without incident.
It appears that the incident was started after Arbuckle attempted to get a small amount of marijuana from the victim.
Arbuckle is currently in custody at the Mason County Jail on charges of Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree and Theft 3rd Degree.
