Rep. Kilmer schedules another telephone town hall
Representative Derek Kilmer will hold another telephone town hall meeting this month in order to stay connected with the people he represents.
Kilmer will hold the hour-long town hall on Wednesday, July 31st starting at 6pm. Those who join the call will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Representative.
“I’ve always said democracy works best when elected officials are accessible and accountable to the people they represent. While this doesn’t replace face to face meetings, while I’m in DC I’m glad to have the opportunity to discuss the issues that matter with the folks I represent,” said Representative Derek Kilmer.
In the past, all homes in the 6th District, covering Grays Harbor and the Olympic Peninsula, have received a call prior to the meeting. This time, residents can sign up at http://kilmer.house.gov/contact/townhall or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with their name and phone number by July 30th to reserve a spot in the conversation.
Residents who sign up before the deadline will receive a phone call at 6pm on July 31st inviting them to the town hall.
In seven months since taking office, Representative Kilmer has held six in-person town halls across the region, in addition to town halls via phone and internet. This will be his second telephone town hall.
