August 26, 2013

A fourth generation Grays Harbor native and an award winning artist and illustrator, Guy T. Simpson, Jr. will present his new young adult novel “The Brotherhood of Olympus and the Deadliest Game” with an appearance and book signing at the Loggers’ Playday on Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 10:00 to 4:00 PM.

A drawing will be conducted during the event for a free autographed copy of his new book, the second in the Brotherhood of Olympus Saga.

Pat Gibbons, a Hoquiam Alumni, stated, “If you grew up in Gray’s(sic) Harbor, this book is a must-read, it’s an extremely fun ride on multiple levels.”

The novel is based on true events and set in the late 1970s in Aberdeen, Washington, the book tells the story of Drake Frasier, a painfully shy, intellectually gifted thirteen year old boy growing up with his four brothers.
