Final days for 2013 Relay for Life fundraising

August 30, 2013

It is the final work day for local Relay for Life teams to bring in money for it to count in the 2013 total.

Over 100 teams and 1000 people participated in local Relay for Life events this year in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties, and according to the American Cancer Society, over $440,000 has been raised.

The team from St. Andrew’s Church brought in the most funds locally so far this year with just under $72,000 in Hoquiam .

The events in Hoquiam, Elma, and Raymond have until August 31 to submit their fundraising in order for it to count for 2013.

Starting on Monday, teams will begin their work to prepare for Relay for Life 2014 and a continued effort locally to raise money for cancer research.
