Auditions this week in Aberdeen for new film

As the Port of Grays Harbor is hoping to bring Paramount Pictures to Satsop, another film is being produced in Aberdeen and residents have an opportunity to be involved.

Seattle based company Independent Spirit Films have announced that their new movie will be filmed in Aberdeen.

Grayport” is a crime thriller, set in the fictional city of Grayport. The film will follow a journalist as he investigates a murder.

The film is produced by Andrew LaFountain of Aberdeen and written and directed by Aria of Seattle, featuring local actors in the cast.

The company is now casting for roles in the film. These roles are for men, age 25-70 for lead and supporting roles.

Auditions will be held this Friday and Saturday at 310 N. alder St in Aberdeen. Friday, auditions will be held from 6-9 pm, with Saturday auditions from 2-5 pm.

Shooting will begin in October, and the film will be a volunteer production, however actors will receive credit on IMDB.com and a copy of the finished film.
