6 truck accident in Amanda Park sends man to the hospital
An accident in Amanda Park involving a semi and 6 trucks sent a Neilton man to the hospital on Thursday.
The Washington State Patrol said that an 83 year old Neilton man was driving on SR 101 in Amanda Park in a 1988 Chevrolet S10 when he pulled onto the shoulder and made a u-turn in the road. Behind him was a 41 year old Neilton man driving a 1999 Kenworth towing a trailer. As the semi attempted to avoid hitting the truck, it collided with the driver’s side. The trailer continued sliding sideways before leaving the road and hitting 5 parked trucks at a home.
One of the parked vehicles was pushed into the owner’s home, damaging the wall. The house was unoccupied at the time.
The 83 year old driver was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital following the accident for his injuries, and charges are pending following the investigation into the cause.
