High Wind Warning issued for Pacific County

November 1, 2013

A high wind warning will be in effect from 3 am to 5 pm on Saturday for the South Washington coast including Raymond and Long Beach.

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a high wind warning. The high wind watch is no longer in effect for Pacific County, but still applies for Grays Harbor.

Tonight, winds will increase. Saturday after the cold front passes, a surge will cause the windiest conditions to develop along the coast, with higher than normal winds for the interior.

In Pacific County, winds will be increasing to 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph Saturday afternoon.

A High Wind Watch will be in effect for the Grays Harbor coast from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

The National Weather Service issued the watch for Ocean Shores and Pacific Beach as winds will reach 25 to 40 mph with gusts as high as 60 mph.

Downed trees with power outages are possible.
