High Wind Watch starts Saturday
A High Wind Watch will be in effect for the coast from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service issued the watch for Ocean Shores and Pacific Beach as winds will reach 25 to 40 mph with gusts as high as 60 mph.
Tonight, winds will increase. Saturday after the cold front passes, a surge of winds will cause the windiest conditions to develop along the coast, with higher than normal winds for the interior.
Downed trees with power outages are possible.
A high wind watch does not mean that it will occur, but that there is the potential for a damaging wind event.
