November 6, 2013

Principal Mark Decker will be leaving Miller Junior High at the end of the year.

In a letter to parents, Decker said that he has resigned as the Principal after he was offered a middle school/high school principal position at the private and non-profit American Cooperative School of Tunis in Tunisia.

Hired in August, 2011, Decker has overseen the school as it was chosen as Comcast Cares Day, plans for the upcoming construction of a new track, and 500 iPads being delivered to students.

Decker said, “I have enjoyed my time at Miller and working with your children.” He added, “Thank-you for your support and continued support of Miller Junior HIgh School.”

According to the Principal, Superintendant Dr. Opstad will be sharing with the community how the new selection of a Principal will take place for the 2014-15 school year .
